General Description: This is a ready-to-spray, quick drying phenolic alkyd primer. It is a quality primer that offers high durability and corrosion resistance. #CC-655 is made without the use of Lead, Zinc Chromate or other toxic heavy metal compunds.
	Common Usage: Typical uses include original equipment machinery and other production line applications. This coating can also be used as a barrier coat over alkyds to permit vinyls, epoxies or other coatings containing strong solvents to be applied over previously painted surfaces.

Finish Coats: This product may be applied over alkyd primer or intermediate coats as a barrier coating. Typical topcoats include alkyds, lacquer, urethanes, or epoxies. Each service environment may require a specific coating system or combination of Anchor products. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job recommendations.

For maximum performance, the recommended substrate should be blasted in accordance with SSPC-SP6. If blast cleaning is not feasible, the substrate should be degreased in accordance with SSPC-SP1. All burrs should be removed and sharp edges or rough weld seams should be ground down. Where weathered steel is applicable and where substrate has reached rust grade, the appropriate chemical cleaning or blasting will be necessary.

	Mixing: Stir thoroughly, making sure no pigment remains on the bottom of the can.
	Thinning: This product is ready-to-spray. Thin with T-50M, a no HAPS solvent, when permitted by federal, state and local regulations.
	Surface Temperature: Minimum 40 F Maximum 110 F The surface should be dry and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.

	Cleanup: Use Anchor #T-50M.
	Application Considerations: This material dries very fast. Start with a .015" tip orifice and pressures that allow for wet coat without dusting or blow-out. Adjust tip and pressure settings as necessary. Where air quality regulations allow, thin only if necessary up to 15% or until material atomizes at the tip. Apply in wet coats to avoid dusting. When spraying, use a cross-hatch method, overlapping each pass 50%. Clean spray system thoroughly before and after each use. On a derusted surface, the application of a dry film of at least 2.0 mils is recommended.
