Product Profile:
General Description:
A specially formulated acrylic emulsion that effectively seals off bleeding of water stains, ink, pencil, smoke and wood tannins.
Common Usage:
Typically regarded as a general sealer, this product also makes a very good undercoater for pastels and adheres well over old varnish, lacquer, gloss finishes, hardboard, etc.

Surface Preparation:
All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of all excess contaminants or old and failing paint. Surfaces should be cleaned of excess carbon, grease, wax, etc. with a quality non-soapy detergent. Mildew must be killed using a solution of chlorine and detergent in water and thoroughly rinsed. Do not use on chalky surfaces such as old plaster or on surfaces where conditions hinder the performance of the coating.

Application:

Mixing: Stir thoroughly, making sure no pigment remains on the bottom of the can.
Thinning: Do not thin for application.
Surface Temperature:

The surface should be dry and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Application Equipment:
Airless Spray
Pressure: 1800-2400 psi
Tip: .013"-.017"
Conventional Spray
Air Pressure: 40-70 psi.
Fluid Pressure: 10-20 psi
Brush: Use a quality synthetic or nylon bristle brush.
Roller: Use 1/4" lambswool covers.
Cleanup: Use soap and water.
Application Considerations:
This product can be applied by brush, roller or spray. Apply in one semi- transparent coat and test for bleeding on a small area with finish coat. Some stains will require two coats but do not overbuild the coating as the stain is likely to photograph through. Due to wood tannin variances, some bleeding may not be stopped.
