Product Profile:
General Description:
A high gloss, oil based enamel for interior and exterior use.
Common Usage:
This is an excellent all-purpose coating that can be applied to wood or ferrous metals. It has very good results on motors, woodwork, lawn furniture, handrails, etc.
Color: White, Standard and Custom colors.
Finish: High Gloss
 
Coating Systems:
Primer Coats:
Use Anchor #P-1507 Undercoater for wood, #1600 Series Rust Inhibitive Primer for steel. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job requirements.
 
Surface Preparation:
Interior: The surface must be free of all dirt, grease, or other contaminants, loose or failing paint, chalking surfaces, rust or moisture. Glossy surfaces should be dulled with sandpaper or chemical deglossers. Mildew should be removed by applying a mixture of chlorine into a solution of water and detergent. Exterior: the substrate should be thoroughly degreased in accordance with SSPC-SP1. All burrs should be removed and sharp edges or rough weld seams should be ground down. Where weathered steel is applicable and where the substrate has reached rust grade, appropriate chemical cleaning or blasting will be necessary.

Application:
Coverage Rates Per Coat:

Mixing: Stir thoroughly, making sure no pigment remains on the bottom of the can.
Thinning: Use Anchor #J-1112.

The surface should be dry and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Application Equipment:
Airless Spray
Pressure: 1200-2200 psi.
Tip: .011"-.015"
Conventional Spray
Air Pressure: 40-70 psi.
Fluid Pressure: 10-20 psi
Brush: Use a high quality natural china bristle brush.
Roller: Use a 3/8" or a 1/2" synthetic roller cover
Cleanup: Use Anchor #J-1112.
Application Considerations:
This coating allows for brush, roller, or spray application. Apply in wet coats to assure a smooth, even finish. When applying, use cross-hatch method, overlapping each pass 50%. Clean system thoroughly before and after each use. On a derusted surface the application of a dry film thickness of at least 2 mils is recommended.
Touch Up:
Proper touch-up is accomplished by applying a thin coat of this product over a well coated surface using the same method of application as used to apply the finish coat, that is, spray over spray, roller over roller. If the finish coat is sprayed, it is also possible to spray a small amount into an empty container, then touching up with a foam brush. Touch up should be done within 5 degrees of the original temperature.
