Finish Coats:
Suitable topcoats include alkyds, modified alkyds, waterbornes and epoxies with proper intermediate coat. Do not apply epoxies, vinyls, or other coatings containing strong strong solvents such as aromatics or ketones directly on this coating . Each service environment may require a specific coating system or combination of Anchor products. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job recommendations.

Surface Preparation:
Under no circumstances should this material be applied over oily or greasy surfaces. At minimum, cleaning should be accomplished by mechanical hand cleaning to meet SSPC-SP1 or light sandblasting to meet SSPC-SP7. Sandblasting will not clean oil and grease. Do not clean oily surfaces with thinner as this will merely smear the oil. A detergent wash and thorough rinse is necessary to properly remove dirt and oil.
