General Description:
An organic Zinc Rich Primer unsurpassed in providing protection from severe
environmental exposures. This is a two component epoxy 100% Zinc Dust to
Catalyst system.

Common Usage:
This primer is widely used in carefully engineered systems in moderate to severe
service environments, with maintenance-free life expectancy of up to twenty
years.

This product is not recommended for immersion in acids, alkalis, or
chlorinated hydrocarbons without resistant top coat. Suitable intermediates
and topcoats include epoxies, waterbornes, urethanes, acrylics, and
silicones. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job
recommendations.

Surface Preparation:
 |
The surface should be sandblasted in accordance with SSPC-10 near white
metal blast. Remove all flux and scab from welding. Grind smooth all rough
welds and sharp edges. Remove any grease, oil or dirt with solvent or a non-
soapy detergent prior to blasting. The surface should be coated immediately
after sandblasting.

Not recommended for Zinc-Rich applications due to excessive wear on pump and gun. If mandatory, use a
Graco 28:1 pump, reverse-a-clean tip with .017-.021 orifice
and an agitated material pot.

Application Considerations:
Spray preferred. Always mix Zinc Dust (55B) into liquid (55A). Hand or
mechanically agitate being careful not to mix so fast that air is entrapped.
Strain the mixture and place in mechanically agitated pot. Spray pot should
be on the same level or higher than the gun. If application is delayed 10 or
more minutes, clear the liquid hose. A mist coat is recommended when
topcoating to minimize bubbling.
